Getting an S500 on 7/2 - what I'm going to do:

On July 5th I put my wheels on. Specifically, chromed 20" by 10" LM5's for the rear and 20" x 9" for the front.

Mid August:
My car is scheduled for an appointment at a "certain" body/turner shop.

I'm putting the Lorinser DTM package on: Front Bumper with Fog Lamps, taking out the S Grill and putting in the CL Grill, Side Skirts, Rear Bumper with Exhaust System, , Chrome outlines for the headlights anddddddddddddddddddd, I finallyyyyyyyyyy made up my mind: yes, I'm going to buy and put the new Front Fenders on as well. I'll keep my old fenders somewhere, lest I ever want to sell the car (I'd imagine there's just a rarefied group of people who'd ever put the fenders on an S500).

Because the car is black, however, I'm not sure what to do with ample meshing of the DTM package. I think that chroming the mesh (DTM meshing: front bumper, front fenders, side skirts, and rear bumper - all have mesh) will be tooooooo much for the car. I don't want to "rice" the car, and putting the front fenders on really is the threshold.

That said, what do I do with the mesh? Paint the mesh black? I've seen grills that are blackened, and the black paint tends to cheapen the look of the car, no? Anything else I can do?

Why I'm really posting: BECAUSE I CAN'T WAIT TO POST PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think black cheapens the look of anycar. I think it would look tough with black grills and crome wheels. BTW how much are all the body mods going to cost?

Agree with tezta on this one. I've seen black grills on an E-class and i think it looks nice. And who is this "certain" shop if you don't mind me asking? And oh yeah how $$$$??

Thanks!

if your 2 choices are silver and black.. definitely go with the black... the silver looks good on a silver or similar color..but if your car is black... keep it clean and uniform and go with the black...

please post pics when u get your project completed...
