projection xenon

im a new owner of a s500 and do not know much regarding mb's. im actually a chevy guy, with a 69 rs/ss camaro vert, 68 camaro vert and a 67 bb chevelle, but love the comfort and power of the s500 i bought. the 00 s500 has xenon but i like the look of the newer headlights fo the '03 + models. my question would be, can i just buy the newer style xenons and put it in? is it just a matter of R&R?

thanks
angel

ps, i didn try to search to find the answer but i got more confused regarding other things that might be needed to be installed.

Any pictures of your car?

ricky,

which car did you wanna see? if you wanna see my 69 rs/ss vert, its here:

http://community.webshots.com/myphotos

its a matching numbers car that i bought years ago with all original sheet metal and zero rust. i personally sand blasted every single nut and bolt. the 67 ss chevelle is matching numbers also with the original 396 bbc. i bought it from a friend who parked it in 1972. he is not in good health and wanted me to buy it from him. my 68 convertalbe camaro is currently under restification. the 75 blazer will be restored one day.

as far as pics for my s500, i dont have pics yet. im not sure what the color is called but it is kind of a dark blue/green.

I installed mine myself for 1,379.00( aftermarket) from procarparts.com also sells on EBAY. I think Steve - MbenzNL. might have the Bosch lamps which will be better if the price is close + if you do not want to tackle the install which is pretty easy but I have wrenched on a lot of old cougars and mustangs so it is fun to figure out these S500's .. I love the car

ps. Do not forget to swap out the stock hid bulbs with the phillips D2S 6000k Ultinon's .. You can buy them here...http://suvlights.com/

Not at all .. My lamps came with all phillips bulbs and the stock hid bulbs were very cool..I just love the bluish light of the ultinons with the thick purple band at the top..
