Hi,

I was hoping that somebody could tell me definitively if the OEM MB tail lights from a 2004 W220 are automatically compatible without any modification with a 2000 W220. Is this the case, or are additional pieces or modifications required?

All I can tell you is that there was some slight modifications done to allow the current model tails to fit a 2002 W220. I cannot tell you exactly what was the mod because Steve did it before he sent them to me. But it was a very minor thing. The 2000 W220 is a different shape isn't it? On that basis I would say there will be some mods required.

Yes they are plug and play. The only thing is you may have to shift one of the screw posts to another (existing) location
