New Key
I bought my new to me(used) merc s430 and it came with one key.
The salesman is sending me another, but he informed me that he couldnt program it since I wasnt able to go back to indiana (13 hours away) to prove to him(the salesman that sold me the car for the dealership) that the car was mine. Some stooopid rule of Benz's which apparently cant be bent. I assume when this new blank key arrives in the mail my local dealership will want to rape me in order to get it programed. So my question is this; is there a way I can program a key myself? Any help from a disgruntled mercedes tech would be greatly appreciated. Anyw work around?

Due to some starting issues when I got the car dealer replaced the ecu that reads the keys and all the keys.
One of the 3 keys didnt work so I was instructed to insert the Key in the key slot and let the computer recognize the key.. it took 2 hours or so before the key worked
