You have a great ride.
However it is always harder to sell it with all the Mods in it.
1. you narrow your protential buyer to one that likes modded MB
2. Buyer may not actually like some of the item you have.
Get it back to as stock as you can. Part out some of the parts.
I usually leave modded parts if I dont have the stock parts or the time to remove it is not worth my trouble.
However If you price your are similar to other cars in your area.. You will definitely have a good selling appeal due to all the Extras...
Sorry you have to sell your ride. That is one nice W220

Nice ride. I have to agree with fkong777. You narrow potential buyers with all the mods even though the car looks really great, you'll have to ask for a slightly higher price than a non mod S-class. My dealer here in TN has a couple of 03 s500 with under 40k miles and he's asking between $38k and $42. Remember these are 03 so they already have the bi xenon and new tail lamps, LED mirror lights and bigger nav screen. You'll loose money there.
If he allows me I can show you one, black on black super clean and very stock.

I don't think the modifications will cause too much trouble since they are all "tasteful." Great automobile, I'm sorry you have to part with it. Before I wish you luck with your sale, I must recommend that you hold on to it. Resale value on it will be terrible, and I would hate to see someone have to rid such a great car for a bull**** price. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Although I have invested alot of time and $$$$ into it
, I'm purchasing real estate soon!
If there isn't enough interest then I might part out the car which is well...
Thanks for all the great feedback from everyone!

apparently, he wants 45k for it..although it is a good looking car, for that price,
i 'll pass....this car should be around mid 20's..thats how much some of the 2000 s430 are going for here in north cal...i am suprise that these cars depreciate that much...maybe becuz of the reliability issues?

asking price for 2000 S430 in So Cal is 28K - 38K. Of course these are stock cars not update to 2003 look and without 20" Walds. But there is a couple with the AMG sport package in that range.

S500/W220/2000
I think the main reason for the precipitous decline in resale value is the new S550/W221. I would not be surprised to see prices rebound a bit after the new model has been around for 6-12 months--maybe 15 to 20%.

Just a suggestion
I have been where you are with other cars in the past. One thing I had luck with is pulling the most marketable parts from the car and replacing with the stock pieces. Sell the after market stuff through e-bay or locally to try and recover as much cash as you can. Price the car at market for your area and you will find a buyer at a reasonable price. Obviously you have not heavily modified the car and you have cared for it and serviced it properly. Keep it detailed to the max while you are selling and suddenly the new owner will show up and fall in love! Good Luck.

These cars will depreciate in value even with any of the modifications, although I do recall you were curious on the price!
I will entertain all offers in the meantime. ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
