Grille for S 320 (2001)

Can I have some ones expert opinion as to whether the conventional Merc Hood Star would look better replaced by a grille Star as shown below.

It's a matter of personal taste. I would not change from the original design. My personal piont of view.

First, I'm not expert in this - but I do have an opinion (yes, we all know what they're like that everyone else has).

Mercedes uses the hood mounted star for its sedans and grille-mounted ones for their sportier models. Now, an S55 you pictured is a sporty sedan, but it is a sedan. I like the Mercedes convention, so haven't changed mine - plus, it's nice to see it when you're driving.

It's a matter of personal choice. If you change, be sure you get a quality grille. The forums have some threads discussing poor fit and appearance of some of the cheaper ones.
