Did you take off the calipers already? If not the disk does not come off. If yes you need to use force. Best is a rubber or plastic hammer to beat from the back of the disks while turning them. If this does not work you may need to heat them up carefully with a torch.

Bamberger is right - if you have some penetrant oil or WD-40 I would liberally spray at the seam and let it sit for at least 15-30 minutes and then tap w/mallet as Bamberger described. Just ensure that you thoroughly clean afterwards though!

ok. thanks for the advise. i will be doing that. i actually used a dead blow plastic mallet and it didnt work. i then used a small 2 lb sledge and all it did was chip the ends. lucky for me, thats all it did because after i couldnt get it off, i had to put it back together and drive it.

You should also replace the pads, are you planning resurface the new rotors? Or maybe your replacing with non OEM brakes?

im doing a whole brake job. new ceramic pads and brembo rotors. that is why i wass trying to pull off the rotor. its been raining so i havent had a chance to do anything yet. my garage is full of other cars so i cant do it in there and out of the elements. i think we had something like 26 days of rain here in san francisco which is supposedly a new record. anyway, i will get to working on the s500 when it stops. in the mean time, i will be working on my camaros in the garage.
