Gauges and Wipers
Do the gauges dim when there is less light outside? I was driving today and it was raining pretty hard and it was sort of dark outside, but it was still day light out. The COMMAND went to night mode, etc... and my gauges got dark. Do they dim on their own or is my cluster almost dead?
Also, I got new wiper blades because my old ones were falling apart... and now when I use the wipers they jiggle because it's almost like the windshield is too dry, meanwhile it's raining really hard... do I have to break them in or something?

That is really terrible. There was a new E-Class behind me in the rain, and I giggled because his wipers were doing the same exact thing... it's like you need to lubricate/wax the windshield or something.

I do my wind shield with Rain-ex every 4 weeks, and have very good results, wipers run relatively smooth then. Another reason is if the windshoields has many small almost invisible craters from the sand and gravel.
Concerning the Night Mode for the Comand it is true that during dark days it is automatically dimming the cluster and the comand to night mode. But I guess, but don't exactly know how, you can also adjust the grade of dimming somewhere in the menu of the Comand.
