Looks great, I see your car has the AMG package. Did you or someone install the kit aftermarket?

LOL, i know, it was killing me! The guy i bought the car from lived in DC so he didnt like the amg rims cuz it had such a harsh ride on the crappy roads there.

As for the bi-xenon...i know, i want to get them...but the ones on ebay are not authentic...i heard there was someone that sells them on the boards here...

I love the rims...might do it myself but I am concerned about the ride. My wife has a bad back and we gave up a BMW 540I w/Sport/Premium package because of the ride. She loves the smoothness of our S500...if I lost the ride quality I would be dipped in siht for sure. Love your's though.

Just went through the same thing with my '01 W210. Had changed out the OEM wheels for some 18" AMG's and had too much tire-to-fender gap. Bought some H&R Springs from the Tire Rack ($242) and had them installed at a local M-B independent shop: $332 in labor; most places are probably less expensive but I didn't want to drive any distance in case I had any installation problems. Very straight-forward installation. The only thing I would do different is, because I didn't know better, I stayed with the factory OEM spring pads, which were #2's front and rear. A #1 front and rear would have been perfect...

Thanks for the advice Richard, but the W220s have airmatics systems, and we can't swap it for other kits.

Sorry about that newton22; after I posted my reply I checked out the Tire Rack and Performance Products websites and discovered that it isn't as simple, and far more expensive, than I had thought.

Performance Products does offer a set of Eibach Springs for the 2000 S500 but I'm sure you already checked that out.

I can't understand why you want to take a car with legendary refinement and ride and either fit big wheels and low profile tyres to wreck the ride or lower the suspension to have the same effect.

As for wheels, you ain't even started! Check these out!

Now those really are wheels!
