Best year for the S class

Best year for the S class
so the w220 has been around since what, 1999 or so
what year do u guys think had the best car and why??
what improvements etc are noted,
specifically with a s500

I would say the 2000 S500. I bought mine new and it is as good today as it was when I drove it off the dealer lot. I've been wanting to trade it for a new one, but honestly don't think I can get a better car--looks and preformance. So why waste $100k on a car I don't like as well?

I will bet that most car owners (Chevy's, Fords, BMW's, etc.) would be VERY happy to be you. Not to burst anyone's bubble, but maybe you just have unrealistic expectations. Could it be?

It is like in business, If some guy gives you a great deal on a car you will tell a friend or two, If some guy ripps you off on a car you will tell everyone and their mother about it. I personally know 5 people with 00-02 S-Classes that have had no issues either. Maybe because they are Socal Cars (warm climate) ?
