AMG Rims & Ride Comfort
I am looking to put on some 19" AMG Rims on my car...
Looking at 19x8.5 Front and 19x9.5 rear.
I am also going to use Dunlop SP tires with a comfort/noise raiting of close to 9/10... I see that the stock Conti tires have a rating of about 6.
I always hear that the AMG tires change the feel of the car... my question is, if I put these rims on the car, am I still going to have that plush a silent ride of an S-Class? Or am I in for a little bit of a rougher, sports car ride?
I'm scared...

I recently replaced 16" OEM wheels on my '01 W210 to 18" AMG's with Bridgestone Potenza tires. When you go to a wider, lower profile, less sidewall tire, I think it is inevitable that you will give up some ride quality.
That said, I think it is a worthwhile trade-off and would look great on your S-Class; here's my W210 just after having H&R springs installed.
