what are the differences between MY2003 and 2004

New for 2004
"The S430 and S500 receive an all-new 7-speed automatic transmission for 2004. A new DVD navigation system with MP3 play capability is standard and new optional 18-inch wheels are available."

So you can expect to pay more for the 2004 model because it's newer, and you get the DVD nav system you mentioned.. :-)

 

For the S600 there is no engine/transmission/wheel change. Besides the DVD, the bigger change is that the fiberoptic system changed to MOST instead of D2B. That may be helpful for future iPod, Sirius, Phone integration kits/upgrades...

Also, nano paint........

 

Nano paint is on some 2003 if I remember right.
Some W215's in 2002 had nano paint, check the door panel for the paint code. if it has a C in it, you're set.

 

As far as I know, S Class had new paint starting November 2004 production.
