s430 tire/wheel fit question
Hello all. I need to know if 18" Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG Chrome wheels and tires will work on my 01 s430?. Wheels come mounted on Michelin Pilot Sport tires size staggered 255/40/18 for the front and 285/35/18 for the rear with all four tires having great tread left. Wheels come with a 39 offset.The offset is what I am worried about. I think the s stock are 44's.

No, SL wheels will not properly fit, not just because of the lower offset but they are also fitted with smaller diameter tires.
Just go a buy the right wheels for the car. Any CL (215 body style) or S (220 body style) will fit perfectly and ebay has many AMG take-offs listed...
