Do a search for that year on autotrader.com.....that will usually give you an idea of the range of asking prices.

Oops...I just read you want to trade it in though....I would just get your car appraised at a local Benz dealer. I've done that before and they all quoted me the same ridiculously low price within a few hundred dollars.

go to edmunds.com, get the trade in value. forget about outstanding or clean pricing, dealer will give you somewhere between "average" and "rough".

Go to kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book) Thats where the most accurate trade in value is!

No dealer really uses the books for a trade value anymore, they will look at what the auction scene is,what stock they have or want ect,(by the way,
someone on this board appears to have access to some of the auction house records as he just posted a days sales on S classes in Ca).
Best thing to do when looking to buy a new car from a dealer is not even mention that you intend to trade, get your best discounted price on the new car, then ask for an appraisal on your old car, then after being revived by smelling salts go home, lol.
There are so many variables it's hard to get a true figure, but the old saying of"as much as someone is willing to pay you for it" still holds true.
If you have the patience try selling private, or let people know you want to sell it, a card on a rear window can be very effective.

Good Luck
oh,look on ebay motors and cars.com shows all the local newspaper listings trade and private for your area too.
