windows developing bubbles inside glass! Help!

I will inspect my car tomorrow very close. So far I have not noticed it during washing of the windows.
I am a little disappointed when people suggest to have the insurance pay for a fake burglary/accident. Then the car owners are still the ones paying in the end.
You are committing fraud, just because you can't win the argument. My suggestion would be to try and fight harder.
Have a problem? contact your dealer (preferably a discussion in their showroom), contact the importing company. No result? This forum already attended many people on a possible problem, so the word is spreading.Why not get advice from some consumer group. I am pretty sure they have a lot of influence in the USA.
Negative publicity is something they not like. Just imagine a TV-station showing a toyota corolla of 2001 and a S-class of the same year. Camera focuses on their windows? Short explanation that the same type of window material is used on their latest s-class as well.

IHello forummembers.
I inspected all door-windows for the bubbling in the glass. No sign of it.
It is clear and looks quite good (apart from some bird droppings )

The car dates back from March 2001 and is used quite a lot.
Is it possible that the windows are not resistant to some chemicals?? It is laminated and on the top seems to be that the 2 glass sheets are a little different in height.

Good for me that I don't have the problem.
Only things I have to tackle is the warning that comes up for brake lining wear (with good brake pads) and a rear light problem (rear left has only 1 of the 2 bulbs illuminated, bulb is good)
Overall speaking I am a happy Benz owner/driver.

Did you recently change your pads? If so did you change the brake wear sensor that goes with it? If you didn't recently change the pads, then they have reached their wear limit and needs to be changed and that causes the warning light.

Brakepads are OK. Ik have looked at them and they are not even half worn.
It might be that the sensors need replacing because one of them are fault.
That is for me to find out. I looked and visibly they are OK.
Can I measure them with an ohm-meter to check the funtion?
Otherwise I need to replace all three of them.

These cars are very smart. Smarter than a lot of people think. The brake wear sensor sets the light on as soon as it touches the rotors. By inspecting your brakes, did you visually look at you brake pads while the wheel was still mounted or did you remove the wheels and remove the pads for inspection? I dont mean to ask a lot of ???????????? but if you inspected you brakes with the wheel still mounted, you only saw the back part of the pad which does not tell you anything about you pads. Buy new sensor and replace the ones you have. It's faily easy.

I took of the wheels (all four of them) and brakepads were really OK.

I am considering to buy new sensors to solve the problems, But I would like to test if the current ones are broke/worn/whatever. That is why I am looking for a test-method.

Those sensors have a one time use only lifespan. Once they come in contact with the rotors, they are toast. There really is no way to test other than to remove each sonsor and inspect for wear. If now wear then one of them is bad and it only takes one to activate that brake wear warning light. The sensors are fairly cheap and can easily be replaced. Your car will only have three sensors so just buy three new ones and toss the old. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hello Kenstudio

Today is gave my BMW ragtop a small service. Only a few paint problems left(chips and small scratches there)
So I can go and take some time for my Benz in the coming evenings/weekends.
When these sensors are relatively cheap items it probably is best to follow your advice and replace. I have an inspection coming up in 5000km anyway. I will see what I can do myself on filters/oil etc so these sensors become just another line on the shopping list.

To stay on the original topic, still no bubbles in my windows

I know its an old thread but my windows are so bad, its very noticeable, my old tint on the car is very light and almost a charcoal color, if i re tinted my windows to 5% would it make less noticeable?
