Dead battery

Dead battery
I am in need of serious help. The battery on my 2002 S500 died the other day, wife left the lights on overnight, and now i cannot open the trunk to access the battery. Nothing works on the car. I even tried to access the trunk through the key that i slipped out of the remote key and the latch above license plate. I turned the key in both directions and pushed up but nothing happened. Can someone please help me out and post some advice. Thank you in advance for any help.

Keep trying the key in the trunk! The same thing happened to me and it took some trial and error before I could get the trunk to release. Try the your owners manual on line to read any details you may have missed. Good Luck!
