W220 S500 Trunk Light
Hi
Can anyone suggest me how to switch off trunk light manually? Is there any manual switch located in the trunk? The reason is I am leaving my car for several weeks and I would like to connect battery tender to maintain my battery in full charge. If I disconnect the battery, all memory including radio code will be lost. Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Trunk light should go out by itself after 10-20 minutes of being left open.
Try it while you are home tonight. Park your car (do you have a garage?) and leave the trunk open. Go eat dinner and come back to check on it.
You should find the trunk light is off and the "flashing" green anti-kidnap trunk release button have turned off to save your battery.
Or unplug the (3 in mine) bulbs.....

Try manually engaging the trunk lock while the trunk is open. The car will 'think' that you closed it and the lights will turn off and the handle will rectract. To unlock simply press the button to open it. It works on both W140 and W220. I do the battery tender regularly and have never had battey problems again.
