Startup noises, noises, noises! - Normal?
I'm so glad I found these forums and I'd love to ask you S-class owners:
My '05 S500 4Matic is making the weirdest sounds - they're creaking, moaning (groaning?) noises that last for 10-15 minutes after we drive the car (after we first starts it). The car also seems to shake quite a bit (can feel relatively heavy vibrations on the dash as we are warming up the car). Even if we let is sit for 5-10 minutes before really driving it. The noises have been there for he past few months. Admittedly, we do not drive it every day (living and working in NYC it's juts not practical!) but still....
Is it normal for this car to sound like this?!? It sounds very...unusual.
I personally love the car but my other half has just about had it.
Any input would be appreciated!

Since you have a 2005, I am going to assume you still have warranty left and say, it is probably a good idea to bring it in.

We bought the car CPO this past summer - can't believe there's already this problem. That and the left mirror turn signal already went dead (and has since been replaced)!
Dear hawk20, I appreciate your response, I really do, but I am perplexed as to why you think I shouldn't be posting such a problem on this forum - isn't such a venue meant for sharing ideas and asking questions? No, I didn't expect to totally solve the problem here, but since I have relatively limited car knowledge I wanted to be more informed before visiting the dealer.
Anyway, thank you again and kind regards to you both.
