INSTALLING sat nav w220

I have a 02 w220. looking at buying a siemens sat nav for w220 on ebay. anyone know how difficult it is to install? do i need to get it coded and how? thanks a mil

yes its going to be a pain the butt hole to install. trust me i tried to install amy ipod thing on the back of the command and jus pulling out the command is soo hard. and installing a new one your gonna run into alot of problems....good luck!!! upload some pics of your install and the new nav

The COMAND for that car was the small-screen Bosch unit. The later Siemens unit won't work because your car has the DB2 bus but the Siemens is for the 2004 and later MOST bus. I don't know of a DB2-based Siemens COMAND. Be careful, it's easy to get stuck with the wrong one. There are dozens of variants.
