I have a 02 w220. looking at buying a siemens sat nav for w220 on ebay. anyone know how difficult it is to install? do i need to get it coded and how? thanks a mil

yes its going to be a pain the butt hole to install. trust me i tried to install amy ipod thing on the back of the command and jus pulling out the command is soo hard. and installing a new one your gonna run into alot of problems....good luck!!! upload some pics of your install and the new nav im curious to see it

 

The COMAND for that car was the small-screen Bosch unit. The later Siemens unit won't work because your car has the DB2 bus but the Siemens is for the 2004 and later MOST bus. I don't know of a DB2-based Siemens COMAND. Be careful, it's easy to get stuck with the wrong one. There are dozens of variants.
