Mercedes Benz Rust Warranty...Heres What They Said...
Mercedes Benz Said They Would Cover All The Rust On My Car But I have to put 2000.00 out of my pocket and they cover the other 4,000.00 Dollars worth of work, but i dont have 2000.00 dollars to just throw away for some fresh paint. The Dealership told me maybe if i was the Original Owner They Would cover maybe the whole $6000.00 but since i am not they would not.

It would help if you showed in your signature what year your car is and where you are located. (see mine)
If you are in UK you get a 30 year rust guarantee if you keep up full MB Service History (FMBSH). They will pay full cost of any rust from the inside. BUT OF COURSE if some of the rust is due to stone chips not being repaired promptly, or to scratches not repaired, or minor bumps and bruises from car parks, then of course you will be expected to pay for those parts to be repainted.
In the US the rust guarantee is for a different period and I do not know the Terms and Conditions, but the point remains that you will be expected to pay for damage that is quite fairly not covered by the guarantee.
This may not relate to you, but I have seen many cars covered in stone chip marks, scratches and dents from minor incidents and the owner is grumbling that a car such as his should not go rusty. Well all steel cars rust unless damage to paintwork is promptly repaired. Sad but unavoidable fact of life.
