hey everyone,
when i purchased my S55 in feb of this year i paid for the optional info services which you recieve over the command system. well to make a long story short i was on a trip with the car yesterday and i realized that i never set up the info services correctly online at MB.com. well....after talking to MB directly today they informed me that any MB's purchased after june 15 of this year will not have this feature available to them. seems MB auto's purchased after june can only recieve traffic info and specific trip info. woman told me that they were trying to limit the amount of distractions available to the driver.
after i purchased the S55 i bought a new ML500. since i didn't pay for the info services on this vehicle before june they will not be make it available for it. that sucks.
i would think that in the long run some other services should be available for MB drivers. heck the technology it already there.
