Licence plate left light problem
I have a 2002 S500. I am currently experiencing a problem. When I start the vehicle after 2 minutes I get a message "LICENSE PLATE L, L CHECK LIGHT". Natually the left licence plate light is off, right one lids. After a while the left lights come back on again. Every time I restart the car the message goes away and both licence plate light lids however after 2 minutes only the left light turns off.
Any advise before taking it to the dealer?

Replace the bulb for the left light. Your owner's manual provides a bulb listing. If it's a European bulb designation, there are charts at auto parts stores that list equivalents.
