Do you live in Germany? (resale question)

I moved to Germany about 10 months ago and brought my U.S. spec S500 (2000) with me. I've read a couple comments in the past on this website that made it sound as though my car might be worth more in Germany than back in the States. However, I've not yet found any German websites similar to Edmunds or NADA that confirms this. Do any MBWorld members have any idea or recommendations on where I should look to get an accurate value for my car if I want to sell it in Germany?

The car has about 77,000 miles on it and most options with the exception of distronic and four-place seating (it does have power rear seats and rear climate package).

I'm thinking about getting out of this car while the mileage is still somewhat reasonable and before the repairs become more frequent--I've already gone through the airmatic debacle.

To find out the resale value of your treasured car try www.autoscout24.de or www.mobile.de There you can find all kinds of selection criteria to compare the cars for sale. Or www.schwacke.de is an independant appraisal company.
The only drawback is, that if you brought the car as an army member and still run it with US-license plates the German buyer has to nationalize it, means import tax 10% and VAT 19% plus the technical inspection with the TUEV (~€ 300). This all together might take almost all of the "advantage" away the price levels in Germany may promise.

Not to forget that the german buyer must modify the car to be EU compliant.
Eg. modification from 315 Mhz to 433MHz (Antenna module, keys, TPC), new headlights.

Phone becomes useless and US Linguatronic/Comand plus Speed limiter is not everybodys favorite.

Thats a downlift of roundabout €6000 from my perspective
