Quote: It's actually a stretch on that bridge back there. When I do this it's usually just me by myself on the road. I'm not crazy, just love to push when I feel like.

First GOOD video I've seen! If people knew how to drive in the US they wouldn't be parked in the fast lane. When on the Autobaun, even if your going 130. If someone is coming up from behind and flashes their lights you move the F over. In the US if you flash your lights to pass you get flipped off, from some hillbilly that learned how to drive in high school. From some teacher that needed an extra buck!

Great video Oxygen, it's nice to see what these cars can really do. I just recently purchased an 01 S500, downgrading (power-wise) from an 02 Z06, it still grabs me by the boo-boo everytime I step on it.
I agree with you HGL600, people don't realize how much power these cars have and what they can handle, I was one of them.

Very nice video!

Have you modded your S500? I noticed that you actually hit 60mph in less than six seconds!

acedking:

I think certain S and CLs produced in the earlier time frame did not come with the digital MPH/KM readout on the dash.

I can bet that if you look closely on your door speaker grills, there's no Bose logo on them as well.

Love the car, the speed is your business, but you are taking risks for others driving like that. Don't do something that could get others killed..........
bad bad bad...i agree. for want of film materials others were put at risk.

I do have bose logo on my speaker grills. Also, whenever I put the car into cruise, it briefly displays my speed on the screen...which leads me to believe there MUST be some way to get it displayed permanently

Thanks for the clarification.

It appears that there are differences in terms of configuration between earlier CL and S class models. I shouldn't have used the CL to be the basis of my conclusion. Sorry about that.

I hope you'll be able to resolve your issues soon.

No problem bro, thanks for your effort.

I have the function on my 01 C-Class, and use it ALL the time...absolutely LOVE it...really hope there is some way to get it on the S-Class.

If anyone finds out, shoot a PM my way please. Thanks.

dont get me wrong here guys but mercedes is really turned out to make some garbage cars the past 15 years.

And i know everything pretty much about MB because everyone in my family has owned one since my great grandfather. Every model except the new clk63 black series. And i have fam that are mercedes Techs and master mechanics.

Mercedes was only good in the 1960's to the late 1980's. Thats where they gained all there respect and quality that there associated with.

Let me see any new benz go over 200,000 miles without having major problems and repairs. Because they cant anymore..MB quality is down the ****ter... and its hard to say Because i love there cars.

I have looked into chevy and other american cars this past week just to do a comparison. And you cant compare. The american made cars are 20 times more realible..offer the same comforts and are actually even nicer. they have a warranty that laughs at mercedes and any german car company because they can back there **** up unlike our cars that we spent thousands and thousands for in repairs and other nonsense which should never happen in the first place.

i mean my w220 should technically last me forever since its the best car!! Right???

but it spent more time in the damn shop then i drive the thing.

A brand new 08 corolla or 08 neon which go for 15k and that i would never drive honestly would destroy our cars 10 times over in maintence and realibility.

****in sad when you sit back and think about the wastes of money we drive lol

i know its off topic but i just had to get it out lol
