Cross Country Drive

I was a little sceptical about making my 3 week drive accross country but the car handled like a champ. I managed to hold my cruise control at 131 for about 2 hrs and I crossed the desert with no drama. This car cruised on very well through the entire trip. I put 7K miles in 3 weeks and wore my tires down in no time. Here are just a few of the pics for you. This car is still great. No overheating, no flats, no messages, 2 tickets (98 on a 70 and 90 on a 75).

Wow Ken....sounds like what I need to do...man am I stressed!! Running against the limiter on cruise...that's impressive. Did it gobble up a bunch of gas at that speed? I suspect once you get up there running that fast that you can back off the throttle and cruise comfortably. Did you do an instant MPG while you were "flying low"? What route did you take to LA?

Ken,

Outstanding pictures and outstanding trip! A few buddies and I made the trip from Pennsylvania to Utah when we were in college in my old Isuzu Trooper.

This country is amazingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing, and put more pics up!

The car really impressed me. I took I40 East all the way to 15 then 5. I will post a few more pics once I get myself back to reality.

You didn't expect the car to fall apart halfway through did you?
