S430 Aftermarket Wheel Problems

I have a 2001 S430. I recently purchased a set of 20" XIX X03's, 20X 8.5 245/35/20 fronts and 20 X 10 275/30/20rear. The Wheels did not clear the caliper so the company sent me a set of 8mm hubcentric spacers. THe wheels finally cleared but another problem came out. Everytime I would press the brakes a certain whinning noise would come out of the wheel (I just put the driver side rear wheel on to see if the caliper would clear with the spacer on). I think the same noise would come (very low tone) out when I would move a bolt around not unscrewing it but jerking it up down left or right without unscrewing it. I'm switching my wheels for a different set now.

But does anyone know why the wheels would make such a noise? When I would let go of the brakes and just move on idle speed no noise would come out just when the brakes would be pushed suddenly. I'm afraid the next set of wheels my make the same noise. Or is it another problem like the spacer or something else rubbing against something. Please I need serious Advice. I'm leaning toward to purchasing The Moxy Concept neeper wheel.

I am guessing the noise is from harmonics set up by the spacer. I think spacers are trouble...I don't like the engineering or the concept.

8mm is a lot. maybe the calipers were still touching the wheel slightly when you applied the brakes....I'd use a different wheel IIWY.

AMG E55, Stage 1, Strait Pipe from Primary Cats
With all the wheel choices out there with the proper offset for your car you should take them back and get something else, you don't even have the AMG big brake issue and still will not fit ? an 8mm spacer ? This tells me these wheels are way off and I would not run that setup even if somebody gave them to me for free. These guys who sold these to you #1 Have no clue or #2 Just flat out screwing you. I hope you get some cooperation from this seller. Best of luck !

I agree with the previous post, returned them to the individual who sold them to you.
