07 Tailights on 01' S600
Here are pictures of my new 07 style tailights on my 01 S600. Had tailights blacked out by Jim at smokedlamps.com. I would highly recommend Jim to anybody interested in blacking out their lights. He is a pleasure to do business with and his work is top notch. I also just lowered my car using the adjustable links supplied by John at adjustableairride.com. These were very easy to install and John was very helpful. Also highly recommend this product if you are looking to lower your car. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Hey Shaun, I just bought a pair also. I have to get that black middle piece painted white to match the car. Was the bodyshop apprehensive about painting on top of that glossy black part??? I would think they would have to prep it real good...

2004 S55 AMG
Funny my paint guy told me the same thing but he also told me its all about the prep. What I think he is going to do is some light sanding and couple of layers of primer. Make sure you tell them not to paint over the chrome. Good luck.

Hey Twinz and Mike,
I have a questioin about the 07 lights on your car. Are the parking lights all LEDs (not the brake lights which I am assuming are also LEDs like the OEM) like the W221?. And if they are LEDs, did you get any bulb out warning messages in your car? If guys can post some pics with the LEDs on that will be great. I am so anxious to order these and want to know for sure before I do. How is the quality and everything? Thanks.

The brake lights and the parking lights are all LED. The only part that is not LED are when you use the blinkers, they are the regular bulbs. I have not recieved not one malfunction with the new tail lights in. They are great quality and everybody just loves them on the car. I would highly recommend these tails..I LOVE THEM!!! I will post pictures as soon as I can..Thanks to all that left positive comments

Thanks for the quick reply and for answering all my questions. I am sold! By the way, how long did it take your painter to paint the two strips? Also, please take some pics of it at night as I am dying to see what the LED parking light looks like! Is it pretty bright? Thanks again,

I used Jim at smokedlamps.com. I highly recommend him because he really knows his stuff and did an excellent job. I think it took him about a week or so to do. If you use him, tell him Paul with the black S600 referred you. Tell him that he painted my 07' style tail lights for the 01' S-class. I will take the pics tommorow night and post them. Hope this helps

Yes my car is an AMG, it is an S600 with all AMG options except engine upgrades like on the 55 and 63 AMG models. Plus my car has the limousine package, ever hear of that one, well I got it. Here are the pictures of the lights on at night. Hope you enjoy!!!
