Man this has been a bad week for me! Need help! There is a plastic cover that shields your inner fender well that will touch your tires and you can hear it in the cabin and it soulds like a rub. But, it's just that you wheels are sitting too far on the inside by a few mm. the only cure for this is to use a 3 or 4mm spacer(which I hate..), or get wheels with a realistic offset. 20X 10, will tuck nicely just like 19's but you MUST have the correct offset in order to do this. Fender rolling is for wheels that stick out too much on the outside and barely tuck.
I know this t be tru because I have the EXACT issue ( if you want to call it that ) with the 19X9.5's I have on my car running Bridgestone RFT's. So I have investigated this to the end.
OFFSET. on a 20X10 should be no more than 42. THEN you really have to watch the kind of tire you use. Rounded like Toyo's work in tight squeezes, but if you go with a bridgestone or some other square(er) brand, you will see the difference.
If you read a little more closely on the instrument cluster recall, you'll see that the warranty on instrument clusters for the S-Class was extended to 10 years from initial date the car went into service. The recall only affected clusters for certain VINs, and for the lighting malfunction.
The warranty is not limited as to defects covered, and it covers all W220 S-Class (I believe the CL was affected as well). Take it to an authorized dealer.

Another thing you can do is just LET it rub. Yes, let your tires rub the metal piece and eventually the metal will rub off. You might wanna run some cheaper tires for a few months just to do that.

I'm not even sure manslaughter would cover such negligence........

It must be grinded down with a power tool. This will kill your tires if you do not take care of it... here ya go

That helps a lot thanks. But I think there might be a chance that the wheel will still touches the from the bottom of the off the fender and not the inner spot. But now I have a better idea of what needs to be done and actually what it looks like I can show it to a few shops.
BUt I gotta wait until my instrument cluster get repaired from the dealer. Thankfully my car was under the recall vins!

I read a post about how the dealer had to add miles by letting the cluster run at 140mph to set the odometer. Thats funny because the dealer told me and it was true that the computer stores all the info from the cluster including miles so I think they were just stalling with him I guess
