Console Storage Bin ?
My XM radio remote is lodged in the storage bin ahead of the shift lever and I cannot get it out. Can anyone tell me how to remove the sliding cover without breaking it? Thanks.

Take a look at the COMAND removal instructions in the writeup for installation of a Gateway 500 at https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...88#post2234888. Although your wood surround is one piece, the unit comes out similarly.
Once you have removed the ash tray, you may be able to reach in to free your remote. If not, then go ahead with the rest of the COMAND removal. That will give you space to get under the ash tray and to access the storage compartment in which it is lodged.
Just be careful, when removing the COMAND unit, not to bend or kink the orange fiber optic leads tightly; same when putting it back.
