Navigation/Command System

My parents have a 2003 S430. I love everything about this car except for the Nav/Command System.

It always loses where we are located. It will be working for about 2-3 weeks and then out of nowhere it loses its location. Takes a while to reprogram it. It gets very annoying. Any idea what the problem may be?

Just last week it was working fine. We had to go to Foster City & we used the Navi to take us to the location. So it almost got us there and randomly it loses its location. On the map it showed us that we were driving on the lake.

Have the cable from the antenna to the head unit checked. If you're not getting a solid signal, it does weird stuff like that.

I'm also was having the same issues with my S500 along with not being able to save my current locations. Does anyone know how to eleviate this annoying problem?

Yep, I also can't save my current location. I guess the first thing we have to do is have the cable from the antenna to the head unit checked.

Thanks whoover.
