S Class Head Rest DVD Screens

Has anyone had aftermarket DVD screens installed in the head rest of their S-Class. I'm looking to get it done so my son can watch DVDs. Sure I could use a portable DVD w/bag, but I've done that before, and it got old fast. If anyone has any suggestions on getting it done, I'm all ears.

I would not look for too many answers here. I posted the same thing a week or so ago and got no responses, so I did a little research and found a few possibilities that may work.

One way is to go to Circuit City and have them install a pair of aftermarket Myron & Davis 7" monitors. Most have DVD players built into them. Thats the easiest way. You can also get them to install a NAV TV box which turns your nav system into a monitor-tv. Look them up at www.navtv.com. Or better yet get a system from www.AVelectronic.com. They run about $575.00 for the complete system. I think this is the best. I will allow you to diplay whatever is on your factory screen, Radio, Navigation, Phone, Cd, it does it all.

If you really want to get custom them you could buy aomw headrest monitors and have them installed in your factory headrest. Just go on ebay and look at http://electronics.listings.ebay.com...istingItemList this link should get you in the direction. A good pair of Monitors shouldn't set you back more than $170.00 to $200.00.

Hope this helps.

By the way if your going to buy the TFT LCD Monitors from ebay to put in a factory headrest don't go any larger than 7". If you have an active headrest system then you would need to check to make sure you won't screw the headrest up by putting a set of TV's in them.

There is also an electronics forum outside the w220 area that might be of more help.
