S500-2000 Audio Problem
Hi all,
Any help on this problem would be much appreciated. All of a sudden there is no sound from any speakers. Mute is not turned on. All the systems are working fine except when I press CD it shows "No CD Changer" although cd changer machanism in the trunk seems to be operating fine. The last thing I remember is I put some card board boxes in the trunk and after that the sound is gone.

This problem is sometimes associated with your amp going bad. Although the system is working the amp is not getting power and cant give you sound. Check all your fuses in all fuse locations to ensure noe is blown. If no fuse is blown you'll have to remove the trunk liner to get to the amp. Inspect the amp and test for power at the terminals. If there is power at the terminals but still no sound your amp is dead. If there is no power at the terminals then there is a blown fuse and you need to find it. This is a tedious process and it's good to have knowledge of the system before tackling this fix.

Sun roof no longer functions automatically
Thanks for the tip with the radio sound. That saved a big ticket trip to the dealer!!!!
Anyone know how to remedy the sunroof? I have to hold the button down when opening or closing it. It also doesn't work when using the key fob to open/close all of the windows.

Try running your moon roof fully in one direction and holding the switch down doe 10 seconds or so after it reaches full travel then do the same in the opposite direction. It may save you another trip.
