New NAV DVD for 2004 S

NTG1 v.6.0

Navteq website shows this as the most current DVD. Anyone know when this was released? I don't want to order it if another one is coming out soon.

The latest one is 2007.1 p/n Q-6-46-0229 at MB. It was released in July. The good news is they dropped the price at the dealership to $199, so there's no reason to buy it directly form Navteq.

The bad news is that it doesn't work right in the late-model W220 COMAND. There's a bug in the firmware that apparently gets confused by carpool lane information on the new DVD. It will not include any highway with a carpool lane in a route. It's pretty useless. MB has admitted the problem and say they're working on a fix. You can try it in your car, but be sure to buy it from MB so you can return it if you get the same behavior.
