ok its easy to remove the steering wheel...

take the ignition key out and keep the wheel straight.
there are two hole on each side of the wheel at the back if you
feel the wheel with your hands you'll tell where they are.

you'll need a star key or alan key bit to undo it and the cover that covers the airbag will pop off.

hope thats helpful

Noooo. this causes you more issues.

IF you do not turn on the ignition, there is no need to disconnect the battery. IF you forget and happen to get an airbag light, drive the car for about 30 minutes and it will reset.

pull neg cable

use a 2.5INCH T30 TORX to remove airbag.

with the green and yellow airbag clips, you need a small flathead to pull up the orange lock tab

then use a 10mm hex socket to remove the wheel.
