broken cupholder/buzzing interior

2004 S500 (W220) 50,000miles+ (out of warranty)
i was pressing the cupholder between the driver and passenger downward to flip it open but then it jumped out of its place. i pulled it out and notice the 2 tabs on the bottom were broken off from the holder itself, is there an easy fix to this? would the dealer just glue it together? because i can put the holder back in place except its not stable or locked in place. i was thinking of using double sided tape since glue seems so permanent.

also, the car has a buzzing sound when its idle and the sound only stops when i press the accel or brake pedal. the sound isnt audible when the windows are down also. but thats probably because of the wind noise. the sound seems to be coming from that little circle vent near the SOS button where the rearview mirror is. any ideas what the problem can be? thank you.

The cup holder is not repairable. they will only replace it. the last one I purchased for my E 320 set be back 75.00 I wouldn't be surprised if this one costs the same because they are very similar.

thanks, thats what i was thinking... did you ever think to just glue that in there instead of buying a new one? the reason i dont want to buy a new one is incase the bottom tabs break off again, then ill have 4 tabs somewhere inside my center console never to be found again. which bothers me since i am pretty ocd.

No because you can't find any glue that is strong enough to hold anything that has force against it. So it will not hold. Just replace it.

UPDATE: well i located where the buzzing seems to be coming from by holding a magnet to the right of the sunroof controls(between that and the little vent), which causes the buzzing to stop. but now the buzzing seems to be louder and more noticeable when i move the magnet away. also, the magnet does not stick whatsoever when placed in that spot so im not sure how the magnet is causing the buzzing to stop. and when i shut the car off, the buzzing makes a sound like its shutting off a little motor which is responsible for the buzzing in the first place! please help me friends!

i also decided not to mess with the cupholder or buy a new(soon to be broken) cupholder so i just leave it open and put a new waterbottle in the bottom slot (to use as dead weight so the damn thing is stable) and only use the secondary cup slot. i dont really mind not being able to use the bottom slot since all it can hold is a soda can or water bottle since the center armrest is in the way but i hate that i cant use the secondary cup holder for any large/heavy drinks. usually i wouldnt mind since i dont drink in the car, but lately have been using the drive thru at fast food places and would like to use both hands when driving back to the office/home. what can i do but

update: after searching on google for nearly 2 hours i came upon this post
https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w140/27559-slight-buzzing-sound-rear-view-mirror-area.html
which basically says "Sounds like your HVAC aspirator motor/fan is going out", do you think that could be my problem? i ask because that post is about the W140 model.
