F/S Renntech Lowering module. NEW

I have a Renntech LM for sale. It's brand new. I bought it for my girlfriends car. All parts are still in the plastic. I prefer paypal and obviously local pick up is best! I will ship for free, since it only weighs maybe 2 pounds. please make me reasonable offers. It is sitting in my garage! My E55 in my SIG has one installed... killer looks, great ride, Easy install. Email me or pm me! This should work all MB's with Airmatic....

Email

Just sent an email to my contact Bob Brady and his leader Hartmut Feyhl:

"With the weather beginning to cool, let me know when you see a good opportunity to test my SL600 and see if it produces the numbers as you advertise after the software upgrade. As you know I am unhappy. Look forward to hearing from you."

Ball in THEIR COURT!!!!!!

You did the RENNTech software upgrade and there's no difference?

Numbers

Numbers fell short of their advertised claim for the upgrade. At first I was told within just a couple minutes of them looking at the car that the intercooler pump was bad, so since I took the LONG drive to them I decided to have them replace it with a supposed new redesigned pump which just turned out to be the same pump part that was in the car before. My numbers were low and have been even lower on the other two dynos that I was on, I was told those operators must not know how to run their machines.

Giving them the opportunity to find a good time for me to bring my car their and show me it does perform as it should or why it doesn't.

Steve,

Although I did enjoy the video, I was a bit concerned that your numbers were about the same time as that firebird or whatever it was..Considering the price difference in the cars and the mods you installed.. BUt, since you car just looked soooo goood zipping down that track, I decide not to let those numbers deter my desire to own one..

I was just thinking about having them tune the 03 S600 when I found this thread. Do you think it's not worth it? What kind of real HP increase did you receive? And I agree, they are too expensive. If they can't produce the numbers on the 600, I'll pass. It's not a race car anyway!!!

They did an SL65 last year for me. I neved did dyno it, but the increased SOTP feel, felt tremendous. Definite increase.

Sorry about the hijack

I am Probably

I am Probably strange in that I expect to get what people advertise when I purchase a product. I am going to give them a chance to show me why I don't have the advertised numbers, I don't want weather (temperature) excuses, humidity excuses, etc.........

I have had offers from other tuners who I talked to and expressed my dissatisifaction with the Renntech tune who have offered to reprogram my computers, at some very attractive deals.

I will save my final opinion on Renntech for a few more weeks.

I emailed them today and we shall see what they do or DON'T Do.

Evotech? $2600 sounds a lot better than $6400.

I talked to them also. The only reason I am considering Renntech, is that I live 20 minutes from them.

Amateur

Total Amateur at the track, I kept ESP on was toying with the idea of putting it in Dyno mode, but so much to risk if I lose control. Bob Brady responded to me today from Renntech, going to take my car on a few hundred mile ride to them probably the first week or two in December after I have a Service B done on it at Brumos Motor Cars. Hoping to see if I can get the issue resolved with the power. I hope to get the service department some things to look for that may be causing my power to not reach the numbers as advertised. I know one issue that is always pointed to is the intercooler, but Bob today mentioned "SENSORS". My technical knowledge is minimal and would like to be able to give the tech specific things to check and look for. I have a week to figure that out.

tom, was the car in your sig lowered by ONLY using ELM?

or did you lower it using washers, and then use the ELM?
