Does anyone know how to reset the Interior Power Rearview Mirror Hall Sensor on a 2004 S430? I'm thinking the Dealer has to do it because you adjust the mirror manually.

Unfortunately that is one of the feature MB did away with in 04-06. You have to manually adjust. Sorry

Are you guys talking about th memory adjustment? Mine works on my 2004.

i believe ur MY works but as in mine, it cant be too far out of place to work and go back to the preset position

Check your built date on the driver door. If it shows earlier than Nov 03 then it works, if after then the above is true.

My build date is Jan. it still works...Maybe its because I have the package with the heated steering wheel and voice contol? Anywayz its a later build and it works fine. I also have a cassette player alond with the DvD behind my comand screen..?

My mirror moves when I use the Memory Seat function. It just moves to the wrong location. When I try to memorize the position, every function memorizes correctly except for the Interior Rearview Mirror. That is why I think the Hall Sensor needs to be reset. The mirror has just lost its relative position. I also have the package with the heated steering wheel and voice.

I know this is two years later, but disconnecting my battery worked for me. I had the same problem when I purchased my car.
