Dash lights are out

2003 S600

Can someone tell me which fuse is for the instrument panel lights? For some reason my fuse chart is not where its supposed to be.

There is a factory recall on clusters so check on that with your vin at any dealer

Your cluster is bad. Take it to the dealer there's been a recall on it. Mines went out this summer. Don't let them toy with you either by sayin "certain vins are only covered."

If you mention "recall" the dealer may go into the VIN matching neverland and waste your time. He needs to look for information on the extended warranty (10 years from date if initial service) that is not dependent on VIN - and don't take any other answer except that the cluster is covered by the extended warranty!!

There have been many misunderstandings over this, because the whole thing stated as a recall that was later changed to the extended warrantee. Jayhawk posted a copy of the warranty letter that succeeded the recall at post 58 at https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...t=82722&page=2

the GOOD news is that it is covered by a recall!

My dash went dead last year, and I took it back to the stealer due to the recall, and it was replaced for free. No problem since then.

I had the same problem last week and it was a fuse. The fuse is located on the driver side fuse box and from what i remember it was a red fuse. After replacing that cluster got its lights back...
