Mercedes S320
S320 [sports mode]
Hi everyone
can I ask if S320 has a sport mode? I saw two buttons by the gear stick "W" asnd "S" but according to the manual, "S" stands for Standard and "W" stands fro Winter. I am amazed if a car like mercedes S320 has got a sport mode but it has button which firms up the suspension!!! please help

The transmission electronics "learn" how you drive automatically. If you drive frequently in a fashion that would warrant a sport mode (fast acceleration) it will give you one.
You can also control the shift points manually if you have a "+" and a "-" on either side of Drive. Just move the shift lever left or right when in Drive.
The "S" mode starts you out in first gear. The "W" mode starts you out in second gear, and is useful on ice or snow. Plainly, for the transmission to adapt itself to a "sport" feel, leave it in "S".
