Brake Question
Hello all,
I have a 2000 S500 and I think there's something wrong with my brakes.
the problem that i am having is that it is very hard to push down on the brake pedal. I have a 99 E300 and when I push on the brake pedal in that car, it's very easy, doesn't take much muscle to push the brake pedal.
On the other hand, the S500, I really have to push the on the brake pedal really hard to stop the car. I kow that if I had air in the brake lines, then the pedal would be very soft, but what makes it very hard to push down on?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like a problem with ur vacuum booster. Check under the hood for a large black hose by the brake master cylinder. Thats the vacuum hose for the booster. If its not plugged into the booster, you wont have power brakes. If its hooked up, you may have a problem with the booster itself.
