Need your help with wheel selection

I always like the rim on the new S/CL63. Always thought it would look awesome on the W220, especially one w/ AMG package.

The only thing is I rather see w/ my eyes of how the wheels actually look in the car, before I am commit to buying them.

Finally got a chance to see that myself, on the way to work this morning. I stopped by and took couple pix. CelPhone pix, so not very clear, but you get an idea.

I'm quite disappointed though, it doesn't look as good as I thought. Could it be because the owner set the suspension too high ? or because silver color of the car and the mag wheel don't match ?

For reference, I'm posting pix of my car w/ OEM wheel & chromed. I always thought that it would look even better with W221 S63 wheels, but now that I've seen it, I'm not sure. What's your take on this ?

those 63 wheels would look much better on your black car. and lowering is a must with 20s, IMO. i think one can get away without lowering with 19s.

your stock rims are pretty nice, though.

They're ok. They look like the old IROC rims. If you want some new wheels, get something with a lip.

Disappointing

For several months I was looking for a pair of those new S rims for my 2002. I have the same color car as the pictures and agree that I am also disappointed in the look from those pictures.

I am even more disappointed that I found out today that the 20" OZ OperaII rims I just bought probably won't fit my car. Strange how the guy I bought them from claimed he had them on the same car as mine.

Those wheels are a little too "edgy" and "rough" for the smooth rounded lines of the W220.
