Drive to Canada W/ The Navi
Hi Guys
Im planning on driving up to Canada(Montreal) on April 11th For the weekend with my friends.
I was thinking of how to set up the navi for this. Will i need to put in the Canada CD first to set up the destination and then switch it out and as well during the drive once I reach Canada will the Navi prompt me to change CD's?
I hope someone knows, I dont want to get lost half way.
Thanks

Have you entered your destination into the NAV? That is a easy way to tell. If NAV CD has New England on it, there is a really good chance it will have eastern Canada, too.

What year is your S Class? On my 2001 CL500 I only have the CD for Canada. As soon as I hit the US border - Alberta/Montana - the GPS is blanc. I don't think you could enter a Canadian destination while still in the US - if you have the CD GPS system.. Insert the Canada CD at the border and enter the Canada destination.

To be honest, I replaced the Command unit on my MB with a Pioneer DVD unit.
When I drive to Canada, which I do every couple of years, we use my wife's Volvo XC90, which also has a DVD NAV.
I apologize for not traveling with a CD based NAV system. The CD NAV systems just do not contain enough information for long distance travel.
