car not chirping
My car all of the sudden is not chirping when locking or unlocking, Usually chirps 3 times when locking and once when unlocking. any help with this would be great.

same here
mirror lights blink three times for armed,once for disarmed.if you dont touch the car after you unlock it then it locks itself after a few minutes.

The dealer can set the car to chirp along with the three light flashes. It's called the Netherlands setting. It must have been set for this car using Star diagnostics. I have no idea why it would have unset. Perhaps the car was reflashed or the battery died? In any case if you want it to chirp, take it to the dealer and have them activate the Netherlands setting.

thanks whoover. but I said chirping but it's actually a beeping sound. Is that still the Netherlands setting?

Yes 3 beeps for lock, 1 for unlock. It is the Netherlands setting, had it done to mine as well. Have no idea why it would lose the feature once it was programmed in, unless that particular SAM was changed.

The main reason you can lose this feature is if the battery inside the siren is dead. Try the panic button and see if the siren works. If it does not, then replace the siren (approx 50 dollars)

always wondered if there was a setting for sound when unlocking/locking the car. mine doesnt make any noise now, but really I havent gotten enough motivation to taking it to the dealer to get this setting changed. anyone have a sound clip? or can compare it to another car noise? BMW had like a whiny noise, my lexus just had a couple rapid "beeps"
