hey u guys,
When i look at my o1 s500 after driving, sometimes its really low to the ground, and other times it looks like a scared cat. If it stayed low all the time (which looks killer by the way lol) I wouldn't have to lower it. whats going on here?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
thanks

You have an Airmatic problem - either a bad relay, a failed pump, or a leak (likely in the upper strut area, but possible elsewhere). Also a bad air distribution "block" could cause the problem.
The pump is probably OK - for a short while. It seems your car rises quite high, then lowers, if I understand your animal analogy. My first suspicion is the relay, which may be keeping the pump off when it should be on, and running it when it should be off.
In any case, it needs immediate attention; it can be serious. Having the car go fully down while driving can cause loss of control at worst, and damage to wheel wells at best. A bad relay will quickly burn out your $900 pump.
Overpressures could cause strut seal failure.
Don't delay.
