Climate conditions maybe?
Because, among other things, the manufacturers recommend it, and our warranties may depend on it.

engine, trans, power steering' brake fluid

engine oil every six months mobil one 0/40 whether it needs it or not. i allow the fss counter to continue to the prescribed interval to dictate B intervals. trans "flush" every 50k miles with MB OE synthetic fluid and filter. power steering fluid "flush" every 50k. brake fluid "flush" every 24 months. just my method, i do all my own "service" maintanance.
