Power folding mirrors

Hello.

We just bought a S430 2000, have read the owners manual and i can't figure out how to 'program?' the side mirrors so they fold in when we lock the doors ?

Is it even possible on this model, i have seen it on the post-facelift model..

No, early W220 mirrors cannot autofold. The quick way to tell is by manually folding them with the door control. If you have to hold the button while the mirrors move, they are the early type. If a single touch initiates a complete close or open cycle, they are the autofold type.

I have an 02' and mine do autofold when locking the car and fold out when I open the door. I brought it to my dealer and added it in the dash for free it took him about 10 min he hooked it to a computer and that was it. but I don't know about a 2000'

i have an 02 s430 and autofold is not setup...i can fold the side mirrors on a single touch without holding the button.
So i guess i have to go to the dealer to get it setup? and if that ...how much?

If you have the single-touch fold, all the dealer has to do is "version code" your cluster to show the option. It's up to them what to charge, but if you have a good relationship with your SA he might even have it done for free. If not, it shouldn't be much for a few minutes work.
