2006 headlights different than 2003-2005?

hi, in the market for a w220 and just wondering if the 2006 headlights are different than 2003-2005.

Are there any other differences?

TIA

The headlights are the same (keep in mind that bi-xenons were optional on most models, so you might see some with halogens) but there are many other differences between a 2003 and later cars. The fiber network for audio consumers was updated in 2004 and the nav unit was upgraded to DVD from CD. There are many other improvements in the 2004 COMAND. 2005 got a better phone integration, allowing the use of the latest Bluetooth puck as well as a number of specific hybrid phone cradles, while the 2004 integration only supports the V60s and one converter Bluetooth puck.

Great info whoover.. but allow me to make one small correction.. the 04's also support the newer puck and a variety of phones.. unless ts just my car.. I have the newer puck, 2 motorola pebls, razr and even the latest hackberry pearl work great in my car.. I am currently using a russian unlocked version of the Motorola Pebl and for some reason it works a lot better than the US version I have..

My car is a feb build 2004 maybe that's the reason? But I have not had any issues plugging a phone so far.. I haven't even looked at that compatibility list.. I just try the phone if it works and I like it I keep it.. The blackberry didn't make the overall cut for me so It got booted off the Island and I am back to the pebls...

Perhaps you're using the V60s-replacement Bluetooth puck that works with the stock 2004 phone integration. It's a different puck than the MHI puck that fits the 2005/2006 integration, which can be replaced with specific Bluetooth-hybrid cradles for certain phones. If not, you may have the later MHI version.

Okay I get it now... Yeah I have the second version of the BT puck that fits in my stock V60 cradle.. But I haven't had any pairing issues as of yet... I like the X5's bluetooth system much better, but I'm happy with benz's effort. At least it get the phone away from my ear and I have hardwired a usb style charger and fitted the cable and phone in my ashtray tucked away since I dont smoke.

Thanks for clarifying..
