i ordered a PSE pump from ebay so i called my dealer to verify part number and apparently all the PSE vacuum pump part #'s are the exact same, they just kept changing the part number every year, 220 800 0248 is the oldest part number, then keeps going up to 220 800 0348, 220 800 0548,220 800 1048 etc.... but its all the same pump so they will all work...

The difference is in the electronics basically.
Older pumps for example do not support the remote trunk closure option.
