COMAND trouble

Few days ago I started to get loud static from the speakers on my 04 S500 than the sound completey stopped, I resetted the system and everything worked fine for a 30 minutes or so than static and no audio again. Now I have no audio at all even after reset, I still hear static. Also what strange is even when i have the COMAND's power off the speakers some time give me static and they could get very loud at times.
I appreciate any tips.

Remove the trunk liner Lh side,Swing out the bracket that holds the nav and cd changer to give you access to your AGW. Try to unplug that bg vonnector and replug it to see if that fixes the problem.
Souds like you have a bad connection somewhere and that is the most likely place...
Good luck.

If replugging it doesn't work, it could be a bad gateway. My 05 had it replaced under warranty at some point. Not sure what the symptoms were that caused the replacement.
