I would like to get an opinion from some of you EXPERTS. I am pretty much a moron when it comes to "car knowlege." I have a '00 S500 with approx 16,000 miles. It says it is due for a B service in approx 1200 miles. The A service was done at around 7-8000 miles I think-- cant find the paperwork-not exactly sure. Out of curiosity I checked my oil a couple days ago and it looked pretty dark. 2 questions -- Is it normal for the oil to be this dark and Do you recommend getting an "intermediate" oil change in between services. I would appreciate your insight--Happy New Year !!!

if u own the car i would get a in between oil change no matter what they say?

I have never paid attention to the computers that tell you your oil needs to be changed, the 500 and Land Cruiser both do that, and the Volvo has a dash light. I always just do it myself every 3k miles... IMHO its the only way to do it right.
